Founder’s Biography

Simon and Claudia are the founders of Ogni Roasters, a specialty coffee company built at the intersection of craftsmanship, design, hospitality, and human connection.

Meet Simon

Raised in Venezuela, Simon grew up in a family where coffee was part of daily life from an early age. His lifelong curiosity led him through careers and disciplines spanning graphic design, business, supply chain management, sculpture, painting, fabrication, and mechanical problem solving. Coffee became the medium through which those interests converged, combining art, engineering, agriculture, design, and craftsmanship into a single pursuit.

Meet Claudia

Born and raised in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Claudia grew up in a family of Italian heritage where gathering around the table was central to life. Following a successful career in high-technology sales, she developed deep expertise in building meaningful relationships and understanding people. Her exceptional sensory abilities and passion for coffee led her to become Ogni’s primary tasting expert, guiding coffee selection and quality evaluation while pursuing her Q Grader certification.

Together, They Built Ogni

Simon and Claudia founded Ogni Roasters with a shared belief that extraordinary coffee should be both exceptional and welcoming.

The company name originates from Claudia’s family name, Ognibeni, and evolved into a philosophy inspired by the Italian word ogni, meaning “every.”

For them, Ogni represents a simple conviction: every producer, every customer, every relationship, and every cup matters.

  • Reveal, Not Create

Every coffee arrives with its own identity, shaped by origin, cultivar, processing, and time. Our role is to uncover that character with precision and restraint.

  • Science with Sensibility

We use data, measurement, and modern roasting technology to understand each coffee more clearly, but the final decisions are always guided by taste, judgment, and attention.

  • Balance as Expression

A remarkable coffee is not defined by one loud flavor. We look for clarity, sweetness, texture, and energy working together in harmony.

Where Coffee Begins

Coffee begins long before it reaches the roaster. It begins in soil and climate, in elevation and season, and in the quiet accumulation of decisions made by growers over months and years. By the time a coffee arrives at our roastery, it already carries a distinct identity. Our responsibility is to understand that identity with care.

Roasting as Interpretation

At Ogni Roasters, we view roasting as an act of interpretation. Every coffee carries a character shaped by cultivar, place, processing, and time. Our role is not to impose a flavor onto the coffee, but to understand what already exists within it. Through careful observation, precision, and restraint, we work to reveal each coffee as clearly and honestly as possible.

Preserving Identity

We believe great roasting should preserve identity rather than overwrite it. The most compelling coffees retain a clear sense of origin—speaking of cultivar, processing, place, and the people who produced them. Our work is not to make every coffee taste the same, but to allow each coffee to taste more fully like itself.

Every Coffee Has a Voice

Within every seed exists a distinct voice. Our role is not to speak over it, but to help it be heard.
