A refined expression of Gesha cultivated within the Cerro El Arenal Natural Reserve in Nicaragua. Benefiting from a high-altitude microclimate and rich volcanic soils, this young planting has begun to reveal the elegance and aromatic complexity that have made Gesha one of the world's most celebrated coffee varieties.
The cup is intensely floral and expressive, opening with jasmine aromatics and bright mandarin citrus. Layers of peach and grapefruit bring sweetness and vibrancy, supported by a silky texture, lively acidity, and a remarkably clean finish. Delicate yet structured, it showcases the clarity and balance that define exceptional washed Gesha.
El Quetzal Coffee Co. is a fourth-generation family estate with roots dating back to 1947. Grown within the protected environment of Cerro El Arenal, this micro-lot represents only ten export-grade sacks from the 2026 harvest, reflecting the estate's focus on quality, traceability, and careful cultivation. The combination of volcanic terroir, elevation, and meticulous processing results in a coffee of remarkable precision and character.
We especially enjoy this coffee as a filter brew, where its floral aromatics and layered fruit notes are most expressive. For those seeking a more delicate and nuanced espresso, it rewards with exceptional clarity, sweetness, and elegance.
